Through engagement with community members we will design plans for community spaces. They can include recreational spaces for youth used for sports or outdoor functions, and indoor space for markets, community meetings and classes.
NGO Co-Working Space
Conference Space + Retreat Programs + Accommodation Space
We are dedicated to creating a space that creates an environment of creativity and cooperation. With the inclusion of conference and accommodation space, the center will be placed in a unique position to be able to cater to development organizations in need of such facilities throughout the region. Paired with the sustainable design and community driven programs the organizations working throughout the center will have direct impact on the communities they are working to serve.
A Model of Sustainable Eco-tourism
Eco-Hostel + Sustainable Design + Replicable Systems
Our hostel and community spaces will provide opportunities for people to enjoy the extraordinary natural beauty of the island knowing that the model is environmentally friendly and seeks to improve the well being of children and families in the area. We want to create an energy neutral project utilizing the renewable resources of the island along with the the latest green technology available. Our hope is that we can support communities in adapting these sustainable models.

A workshop that encourages youth to think creatively about D3C's space and their communities around them.

Impact.
This center will provide new economic outlets for surrounding communities. During construction we plan to employ local labor, expertise, and materials. Once built, the center will directly employ staff, and connect job-seekers to employment opportunities. Our business structure will promote economic development by reinvesting a percentage of profits back into the community via grants, loans, and investments directed at local business.

Why make the trek?
With dozens of waterfalls, a years worth of rivers, countless treks, hikes through the rainforest and a year round natural jacuzzi know as the Boiling Lake, Dominica truly is the 'Nature Island' of the Caribbean.
